Dear Chengetai,
To improve dynamics, coordination of activities, and efficiency, the RPWG
and Outreach Working Group have decided (see summary of Outreach call
below) to join forces. The RPWG will continue our work as part of the
Outreach WG.
Online participation is the modality for the majority of the work done by
the MAG, and the IGF. It is an underlying and overarching resource, and
while it continues to merit the special support of the Secretariat and the
MAG, we think that it's mandate (TOR attached) will be more effective
within the outreach working group. This way we can help ensure we reach the
people who can be brought in to the IGF process, and help them every way
possible.
I would like to thank all members of the RPWG (who will now join with the
Outreach WG), the Outreach WG, especially Dominique, and the Secretariat
for your support to greater inclusion in the IGF process through
online/remote participation.
Chengetai, can you please facilitate the merging of the RPWG into the
Outreach WG, and let us know if we need to take any further steps to
coordinate this change? Thank you.
Best wishes,
Ginger
