[IGFmaglist] Stanford Deliberative Poll and IGF

Dear colleagues,

As many of you may recall, there was a significant discussion on the MAG regarding the Stanford Deliberative Poll planned around the IGF. At the time, my own discomfort with this particular exercise was three-fold: 1 - the impact on the IGF given the significant time commitment expected of participants during the IGF, and 2 - the way it was introduced, and 3 - initial size and scoping. After several discussions and additional information from the Stanford team, it was decided the DP would go ahead (possibly in a reduced manner).

Aaannyway, I wanted to let the MAG know I had been contacted (and I am sure many of you as well) to participate. This morning I took the survey and I am currently scheduled to participate in a 4 or 5 hour deliberative session this weekend. I will not participate in the sessions planned for Day 0/IGF as they conflict with IGF events.

Given our past discussions, I wanted to let you all know.

Best,
Lynn
