Dear colleagues,

Please take note of the email of the coordinators of the MAG strategy working group. In my opinion it is important that we, as DCCG, contribute to the different aspects of this workplan, with a consistent voice. In the past year we were more and more recognised as an important part of the IGF and GDC, and considered a part of its future. This calls for our input, I think.

I suggest we discuss it on our call later this week.

Dear WG-Strategy,

After last night's insightful call and reflections, the co-chairs had a quick checkpoint today to strategise on our next steps.

With regards to the WG action plan, we also discussed the following activities to complement it:

 1. Work on a paper reinforcing the mission of the IGF and its long-term contribution to the digital cooperation and internet governance space;
2. Draft a panel submission to WSIS +20 OCP in order to host a discussions during the High-Level event in Geneva;
3.  Host a dialogue webinar with ODET and other UN Agencies on the implementation of Para 71 of the GDC (MAP), together with DCs, NRIs and other intersessional work;
4. Host a webinar on the implementation of the NM+10 Sao Paulo Multistakeholder Guidelines implementation to the IGF work. Focal groups: NRIs, DCs, PNs, and BPFs + MAG
5. ⁠Suggest to Secretariat and Host country the creation of a Governmental Track for member states only.
6. Draft a high level Multistakeholder statement addressing the UNGA Presidency highlighting the importance of the IGF and the need for it to be transformed into a permanent effort and fora.
