ABOUT CYDES 2021  

The inaugural Cyber Defence & Security Exhibition and Conference (CYDES)
2021 will be held from 1st to 3rd June 2021 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in a
Hybrid format (Physical and Virtual). CYDES 2021 is an initiative under the
Malaysia Cyber Security Strategy (MCSS) 2020-2024 which has kicked off after
being officially launched by Malaysia's Prime Minister last October 12th. 

The Malaysian Government has announced a US$434 million (RM1.8 billion)
budget allocation to upgrade the country's cybersecurity measures. 

The four-year strategy comprises 5 strategic pillars, 12 strategies, 35
action plans and 113 programmes, all of which will see strategic
partnerships between the public and private sector to combat cybercrime. 

CYDES will be a showcase of advanced expertise, solutions and technologies
to combating present and future cyber threats especially for Government, Law
Enforcement and Military, the Business Community and Academicians with one
common objective of protecting each nation's critical infrastructure network
including national defence and security, energy, healthcare, information and
communications, finance, transport etc.
