Dear colleagues,
Please join us at the Community Talks on Cyber Diplomacy scheduled on April 15, 2021, 16:00 pm - 17:00 pm CET, where we would try to answer the question 'How much do we need to know about the cyber threats we're facing?' and, particularly discuss limitations of transparency in cyberspace. We will also cover existing international info sharing mechanisms and challenges to this, as well as discuss the complexities of attribution when fighting the cyber threats we're facing.
This time our experts are:
* Johanna Weaver, Special Adviser to Australia's Ambassador for Cyber Affairs and Critical Technologies, Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT);
* Philipp Amann, Head of Strategy of the European Cybercrime Centre (EC3), Europol;
* Jornt van der Wiel, Security Researcher, Global Research & Analysis Team, Kaspersky; and
* Jan Lemnitzer, JML Cyber Policy Consulting and lecturer at the Department of Digitalization, Copenhagen Business School, as discussant.
To register, please follow this link https://kas.pr/mug2.
What are the Community Talks?
We at Kaspersky organize the Talks on Cyber Diplomacy with the sole purpose is to identify, collect and share a number of actionable points, from different stakeholder perspective, what would help us - the global community - to live and prosper in cyberspace. After each talk without ties and too formal discussions, we share a summary of key challenges and key necessary actions to be taken, as identified by leaders and key experts.
* The first Talk titled as 'Are we en route to losing the fight to ensure stability in cyberspace?' took place in December 2020 with experts representing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, France; INTERPOL Cybercrime Division; and Kaspersky's Global Research Analysis Team (GReAT). Summary & recording https://kas.pr/ots1.
* The second Talk titled as 'Who do you call if you're under a cyberattack?' was held in January 2021 with Ambassador of Switzerland to the UN cyber processes; Chief of Cybercrime; Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Financing of Terrorism Department, UNODC; Kaspersky GReAT, and Center for Security Studies, ETH Zurich. Summary & recording https://kas.pr/z5mw.
* The third Talk titled as 'What do we talk about when we discuss 'cyber conflict'?' was held in early March 2021 with representatives of the Government of Canada; Center for Security Studies at ETH Zurich; King's College London and Kaspersky GReAT.
