I agree that we need to gather feedback on the forms and the process. 
And I think that next year, before the form is released, each and every
MAG member should submit a test workshop, just so we know what we are
asking people to do.  In a chat I admitted that I have never submitted a
workshop proposal,  and was told that no one who had never submitted a 
workshop proposal should be appointed to the MAG - the feeling is
strong.  While I do not believe that it should be a criteria for
appointing MAG members, I also don't believe we should keep putting
people through a allegedly painful process that we have not ourselves
experienced.  And who knows, by using our own tools, we may come up with
recommendations on how to improve the tools.

Happy we got as many workshop applications as we did, all things considered.
