[IGFmaglist] Rumors about IGF Bali

Dear All,
I agree with Markus and Chengetai. I also received emails from my
colleagues in the Pacific regarding these rumours but after doing my
research, I noticed that there was only one online news article quoting
the official - it's probably Indonesian whispers :)
As the old saying goes, "don't dignify a rumour with a response".
Cheers

Dear Mark,
Many thanks for sharing. However, the UN has not received an official
communication of any cancellation, as Chengetai explained. An Indonesian
newspaper quoting an Indonesian official is not relevant in this
context. The official channel of communication between the UN and a
Member State is through the Permanent Mission in New York or in Geneva.
Discussions are ongoing and so far nothing has been cancelled.
Best regards
Markus
