Dear all,

A short note on today's call. The meeting took note of the efforts made by the Indonesian organizing committee to secure the Bali meeting. There is now sufficient funding and the Indonesian side is committed to signing the Host Country Agreement by 20 August. We concluded that we can now base ourselves on the assumption that the IGF 2013 will go ahead as planned.

The Indonesian hosts also promised to extend the deadline set by some of the hotels to bring it in line with the 20 August deadline for signing the agreement. We hope to get some information on this shortly.

Our thanks to the Indonesian organising committee and all those involved who helped move this file forward, not least to Chengetai who spent countless hours in video conferences, also at odd hours in the middle of the night.

We also touched on some issues related to open forums and workshops. Based on our discussion, the IGF Secretariat can now finalise the schedule for the meeting.

We agreed to hold another conference call next Wednesday, 14 August at 1200 UTC. 

The call will again focusing on the organisation of the meeting and again every MAG Member is free to invite one non MAG Member. In order to know in advance who will participate the IGF Secretariat will tweak the registration form and ask you to indicate who you are inviting. In order to allow the Secretariat sufficient time to check it in advance, we will close the registration 24 hours in advance of the call. MAG members of course will be able regardless, but not the invitees.
