it's a pleasure to have the Academia represented by yourself. Death line is March 31st. we want to organize at least one meeting a week in order for us to prepare a strong proposal.
Your feedback will be appreciated.
Next MAG meeting will take place on February 27th, where a first draft should be introduced for final comments.

I noticed Yik Chan's note below refers to a deadline "Thursday, February 10th". I had read in Amrita's email that the deadline for submitting comments to the PNAI Working Plan is February 10th -- which is this Saturday. Can you please clarify whether the deadline was today or Saturday? Additionally, I would like to join the PNAI working group on the UN HLAB's AI consultation.

The drafted PNAI 2024 work plan is open for members’ comments and input until this Thursday 10th Feb, We will freeze the document after that and will call another PNAI call on either 13th or 14th Feb to finalise the work plan before we submit it to the MAG on 16th Feb.

PNAI will set up a Engagement and Outreach working group to help disseminate PNAI’s work and help to connect the PNAI with other AI governance bodies within the UN and outside the UN systems. Please express your interests in joining the Engagement and Outreach Working Group via the PNAI mailing list.

For the 2024 PNAI circle, we agree to strengthen  the outreach and engagement work of the PNAI, ,  disseminating the work we have done  (PNAI 2023 Report) as well as our ongoing work and contributing to UN HLAD AI consultations as  2024 is an important year for AI and IG  governance at both UN and Regional Level.

The PNAI will have to submit a one pager proposal along with workplan to the MAG by 16 February.
It should contain

a short Description: topics covered, proposed objectives, focus of the PN and main action points (the description should provide sufficient detail to allow an assessment and selection).
Work plan, outreach plan and multistakeholder engagement: This should mention the anticipated engagement from various parts of the multistakeholder community, and a work plan starting 1 April.
If you recall a proposal was prepared earlier and based on that few volunteers were working on the workplan.
