The roundtable invites experts from China, the UK, Europe, and Africa to
discuss the interoperability of AI governance, aiming to promote global
cooperation and dialogue.
Interoperability generally refers to the seamless communication and
interaction between different systems. In AI, interoperability means that
different AI systems, platforms, and standards can work together to achieve
broader applications and development. Recent UN resolutions on AI and the
UN High-Level Advisory Body's final report on AI have emphasized the
importance of developing interoperable AI.
Through expert presentations, deliberations, and interactions, the
roundtable aims to address the opportunities and challenges posed by AI:
(1) How should we understand the interoperability of AI governance? What
are the most important and urgent regulatory, technical, data, and semantic
issues in AI governance? Do we need to address these issues globally? Do we
have a consensus? Do we need a consensus?
(2) How can the government, private sector, civil society, and the
technology sector address the above interoperability issues? What
principles, methods, and mechanisms should be adopted?
(3) What role should the UN system play in global AI governance?
