Dear Dominique, all,
Thanks for the initial list of ideas for the brochure - The Secretariat is
working to help provide some of the data, content requested thus far and
will revert quickly, I would also add to your initial list of thoughts a
showcase of the National and Regional initiatives.
I'd also like to recall a suggestion Mark has made previously which is to
emphasize the growth/improvements being made/implemented last year and this
year specifically, in response to the CSTD report on improvements, -
"
- more effective communication of tangible IGF outcomes;
- six capacity building best practice fora to be held centre-stage of the
IGF programme; (Listing this year's themes which are particularly aimed to
build knowledge for developing countries)
- the roll out of a programme of inter-sessional activities which will
involve and better integrate the national and regional IGFs in the
preparation for IGF10 in Joao Pessao, Brazil, in November;
- further extension of regional hubs for remote participation in all
regions that will increase the involvement of stakeholders in developing
countries and small island developing states who are not able physically to
attend the IGF.
I'm linking below here also the 1)Chair's summary from last year that
list's some achievements/outcomes and also has the Istanbul participation
statistics, the 2)brochure that the Secretariat and Donor's put together
last year, the 3)IGFSA brochure and the IGF Secretariat report to CSTD on
improvements to the IGF submitted last year to the CSTD meeting
