Dear All,
Mary christmas to you.
Our Internet ecosystem is growing very fast. I think it will be very good
to make some suggestions to better understand issues for each other.
When we have some Global IGF MAG members in some countries, it will be very
good to see him in a help position in national, sub-regional and regional
level of IGF and we will take that into consideration to review their
position in global IGF MAG. Something for the members of other level of IGF
also. In the same time, the leadership position suppose to be share. For
example, if i am the current Chair of an National IGF or National IGF MAG
and receive opportunity to be the Chair of the Sub-regional or Regional or
Global IGF MAG, It will be good to leave my previous position to other
person and we will have more people on leadership position.
In some countries we have the IGF secretariat structure as ONG or
Association. In other countries it is a consortium of organizations. That
can not replace the national or sub-regional or regional MAG building and
job. We are encouraged to have an MAG board in each level with renewal time
very clear for all the members. It is not good to understand people seeing
that IGF is a friendly club. It means our efforts are not taken into
consideration by our ecosystem people. That is a bad result for us.
Also, when we are talking about youth, we sometimes see people over 30
years old. I propose we limit the youth organization to the person who
doesn't have more than 30 years old please. In the youth process we can not
have the stakeholder structure because more of them are supposed to be on
study level again. All other people who are over 30 years old can enter the
high position where we have all the stakeholders on the table.
In the national, sub-regional and regional level of IGF the request for
funding can be done for the forum. We will let youth request for their own
fund for the event. The school of IG can naturally be organized by national
IGF to provide capacity for new people who enter or need to enter the
ecosystem of IG. It is not more profitable again to have an IG school on
sub-regional, regional or global level. The job is supposed to be done on a
national level. If we need specific training for a trainer in IG we can do
it regional and let the trainer do the job on a national level.
It will be good to also have funds for specific study on some specific
challenges like, artificial intelligence, big data and other.
What do you think about it ?
