Hi everyone,
Perhaps we could suggest a merge of 170 and 191 WS proposals. IPv6 is still an important topic in regions like the LAC region.
All the best,
Israel

Hi
I support Sumon’s suggestion. Proposal 170 or 191 looks solid to become part of the programme.
We just closed an IPv6 BPF, we would send a wrong message if the topic is not part of the programme this year.
Regards
German

Dear Colleagues,
Just after discussing with friends and looking at the workshop list again, noticed that there are 3 workshop proposals(170, 191, 214) on IPv6 and none of them succeeded to be inside top 80. Prop 191 got 3.96 score, highest among the three.
But as a very very relevant topic would like to see at least one workshop on IPv6.
I know wild card submission deadline is past few hours before but if possible would like to see prop 191 in the wild card or we can look at the three proposals and choose one.
Again sorry for missing the deadline.
best regards,
Sumon

Dear Chair and MAG members,
I just arrived in Geneva after spending about 15 hours to get from Japan. Thank you so much for outlining the next steps in our WS selection process.
As well, thank you all for elaborating the concept of a "wildcard" during the last call. While I agree to the concept as not explicitly provided in our formal procedure, I would like to take up the following proposal as a wildcard candidate. I would appreciate if you could think about.
Sincerely,
Kenta

*Workshop Proposal ID #16: What's the right age to start digital education to the future generation? (Others, 90 min.)
[Reasons]
1) As far as I know, this is the only one workshop proposal submitted by the "Japanese private sector". In accordance with what MAG members discussed in relation to geographical/stakeholder representation and objectively speaking, I think this proposal should be selected or at least merged with a similar proposal which makes the cut (like ID #193 and #230).
2) Although Ms. Akari Noguchi is a first-time session proposer for IGF, she does have extensive expertise and experience in the field of child online safety and will be holding a session at Asia Pacific Regional Internet Governance Forum (APrIGF). She will expand her network more in the near future and will be able to bring renowned speakers and youth panelists to her session at the next IGF.
3) There have been many sessions which deal with child online safety or illegal and harmful online contents, but most of the sessions did not specifically address a relationship between the ages of children and digital education. This is why this session is meaningful for participants, and she (and panelists) will bring useful and practical ideas or tools for both developed and developing countries.
4) Because I am a Japanese representative of the IGF/MAG, I can instruct her directly to reflect all of your opinions/suggestions into her session. As well, I can introduce some key persons as panelist candidates to her.

Dear MAG members,
Per the discussion on our last MAG call, I will send an email outlining the next steps in our WS selection process shortly.
On that call, the MAG agreed to a deadline of Monday June 12th to send in any additional “wildcards”, i.e, workshops that should be reviewed by the full MAG in order to ensure an appropriate balance of workshops in the program. It was also agreed that each MAG member would submit only one WS request and that the request should identify the reason the WS is being suggested for an exceptional review, paying particular attention to any imbalances in the preliminary selection of WSs.
Your submission should be in no later than 1300 UTC/1500 CET in order to allow the secretariat to consolidate requests and MAG members a chance to review them.
Best and look forward to seeing you all soon,
Lynn
