[IGFmaglist] PROPOSAL FOR WORKING GROUP TO SUPPORT MAIN SESSIONS

Thanks, Virat, for your valuable work.

When I saw this (see the excerpt below), I assumed number 4 encompassed two
themes: gender, and trade. Indeed, gender was proposed as a main session
theme, and trade was mentioned. However, these two were not linked in any
way. (See the Day 4 transcripts at http://www.intgovforum.org/cms/3063).

In a follow-up discussion, someone mentioned the juxtaposition of gender
and trade in number 4, so I just want to make sure we are clear that we
mean that 'gender' was proposed (directly by Aida, implied by Jac), and so
was 'trade' (Sala), as a *separate theme*.

I just want to make sure that we know we actually have 9 proposed themes.

Cheers, Ginger

*EXCERPT*

*Planning 8 Thematic / Main Sessions recommended by MAG, at IGF 2016*

During the April MAG meeting, 8 possible requests for main sessions were
listed for discussion. These are:

   1. Human Rights
   2. Cyber Security
   3. Internet and Inclusive Economy
   4. *Gender and Trade*
   5. SDGs
   6. Dynamic Coalitions and Best Practice Sessions
   7. Policy Options for Connecting the Next Billion – Phase II
   8. NRIs’ session (to be self-organized by NRIs)
