I agree. I think there would be gains from pushing it forward by two weeks.
BTW, Virat, could you please confirm that I am in the WG as well? I didn't see my name in the table and I was under the impression that I put my name forward - perhaps my mistake. Anyways, I would like to be in the WG.
Thanks and kind regards,
Jivan.

Hi
Thanks Virat for moving this along.
With the next OC/MAG meeting two months away and the Brazil meeting 11 months away, it's not clear why we need to rush quite this fast at a time that for many people is a busy holiday season, which means you we will not get the broad-based awareness, engagement and buy-in one would want. Certainly in the case of the civil society networks that have been most directly involved in IGF and advocating intersessional work since, well, the beginning, I have so far seen zero discussion of the matter. I don't know if other stakeholder groups are further down the track in their thinking, but we need to get everyone who wants to be on board the train and in synch. So from the peanut gallery, I would suggest recalibrating this schedule backwards by two weeks, and for MAG members to reach out to their respective communities to encourage engagement before one gets into finalizing texts and specifying tasks and deadlines.
Best
Bill

Your comments invited (latest by Friday, December 19, 2014)
1. On whether the above steps and timelines towards the preparation of draft plan / modalities are in order?
2. Subjects and issues (Example: intersessional work objectives, criteria, procedures for online consultation, secretariat, etc.), on which public consultation should be held, with a view to prepare the plan / modalities for intersessional work. (Your comments will guide the text for the public announcement, related to inviting wider IG community inputs, for the development of the intersessional work plan, to be placed on the IGF website, on Monday, December 22, 2014).
3. The need for a well-resourced IGF secretariat to lead procedural aspects of intersessional work.

Sincerely,
Virat Bhatia
