Dear All,
We are pleased to announce that the IGF Secretariat/ UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) and the Permanent Mission of Norway to the UN will co-host an in-person side event<https://intgovforum.org/en/content/sti-forum-side-event-the-road-to-wsis20-and-beyond> at the 10th Multi-stakeholder Forum on Science, Technology and Innovation for the Sustainable Development Goals<https://sdgs.un.org/tfm/STIForum2025>:
“IGF 2025 on ‘Building Digital Governance Together’: The road to WSIS+20 and beyond”

The side event will give a preview of the milestone, 20th anniversary edition of the IGF, taking place in Norway on 23-27 June 2025. As an outcome of the UN World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS), IGF will offer a space to discuss topics related to the twenty-year review of WSIS (WSIS+20), a process culminating in a high-level meeting of the General Assembly in December 2025.
Participants will hear interventions from, among others:
o          H.E. Ms. Merete Fjeld Brattested, Permanent Representative of Norway to the UN
o          Ms. Bjørg Sandkjær, Assistant Secretary-General for Policy Coordination at UN DESA
o          Mr. Vint Cerf, Vice President and Chief Internet Evangelist at Google, and Char of the IGF Leadership Panel
