Dear Sorina, and the DCCG
I recently completed the survey for the IGF Secretariat on the
opportunities for the new website to be funded by the UK Government.
Given that some of us DCs are self funded, working with no grant funding,
it would be appreciated if the new website provdes DCs with the opportunity
to host a space to run surveys, a vital component of international public
opinion engagement , as well as space to host articles, booklets and
information papers and the like which are the outputs of the DCs.
This also allows good access for the global citizen and good outreach from
the DC.
Please this is for consideration as an important operational "ask" from a
smaller DC, especially as we also have to comply with GDPR and other
regulations. A common domicile for the data hosting and outreach aspects
would be appreciated for the DC, as well as to meet the common expectations
/ standards for the global citizen engaging with us DCs.
For the DC proposal that Sorina and Adam are working on, I would be pleased
to provide support / input from the perspective of defining the value
proposition for DCs and establishing a risk mamagement or ESG framework for
DCs. This would be part of our DCs collaborative focused work for the year,
in support of cross cutting issues success for meeting the UNSDGs.
Kind regards
Amali De Silva - Mitchell
