Dear All,
The 16th annual IGF meeting<https://www.gov.pl/web/igf2021-en> will be hosted by the Government of Poland in Katowice from 6 to 10 December 2021. The Secretariat and the Host Country would appreciate if you would inform if you plan to come to Katowice for the 16th IGF by responding to this short poll: https://www.intgovforum.org/multilingual/content/igf-2021-participation-poll (please note that you can re-take the poll in case you would need to change your response).
Also, please find below a few updates regarding the IGF 2021.
The IGF 2021 is introducing several innovations into its structure, including:
* Hybrid format of the annual meeting
* Issue-focused approach allowing more in-depth discussions
* New types of sessions
* Interactive preparatory phase in a lead-up to Katowice IGF
* New forms of the intersessional work: policy networks<https://www.intgovforum.org/multilingual/index.php?q=filedepot_download/11138/2528>
o Policy Network on Environment<https://www.intgovforum.org/multilingual/content/policy-network-on-environment-and-digitalisation-pne> (with its multistakeholder working group<https://www.intgovforum.org/multilingual/content/pne-multistakeholder-working-group>)
o Policy Network on Meaningful Access<https://www.intgovforum.org/multilingual/content/policy-network-on-meaningful-access-pnma> (multistakeholder working group to be announced soon)
* Work is underway for the IGF 2021 Best Practice Forums on (i) cybersecurity<https://www.intgovforum.org/multilingual/content/bpf-cybersecurity> and (ii) gender and digital rights<https://www.intgovforum.org/multilingual/content/bpf-gender-and-digital-rights>
The calls for sessions are expected to be launched early next week. All relevant information will be communicated via IGF mailing lists, social media and its website.
