Hi Wim,
I think it's a good idea to include basic stats on Internet exchanges.
To complement Bijal's answer, PCH maintains the following resources:
- a global directory of Internet exchange points,
https://prefix.pch.net/applications/ixpdir/
- a summary with the list of IXP locations and countries without IXPs,
https://prefix.pch.net/applications/ixpdir/summary/
- a historical dataset with active, inactive, defunct and unknown IXPs,
https://prefix.pch.net/applications/ixpdir/download.php?s=exchange
PCH recently upgraded their web presence and I don't seem to find their IXP
map anymore.
If you have questions regarding the data collection methodology or the
meaning of some of the fields in the data set, let me know.
