[Bp_ipv6] IGF BPF IPv6 call - Wed 12 Oct, 8am UTC

Yes, Wim, that’s the prime purpose.

In order to get meaningful and representative results, it would be wise to widely publish it to all stakeholders especially to the ISPs and members of the registries (RIPE, ARIN, APNIC, LANIC and AFRINIC) and NOGs ( NANOG, AFNOG,..)

The more interesting part of this survey is to find the real reasons why the deployment is happening only among the rich and fortunate ISPs creating a new destructive gap in further deploying the Internet to the have-nots ( the other 3 Billion people, let alone IoT and all new emerging technologies) or slaving them into NATs and CGNATs.

Cheers

Latif

Dear Latif,

That’s great news. Will the survey results be summarised and published?

Best regards

Wim

Hi Michael, all,

Part of the purpose of the RFC was to encourage information that could inform the IGF BPF discussion and outcome document – so yes, of course. The docs are in the public domain. NTIA also intends to produce a paper based upon the submissions.

Sincerely,

Susan

Hi Susan,

Thanks for letting us know you can't make it, but great job so far with the case studies. Will we be allowed to use them in the BPF outcome document as well? I assume so, but was asking to make sure.

Dear Wim, all,

Unfortunately, neither Ashley nor myself will be able to make the next call for NTIA. On a more positive note, we would like to share the good news that to date we’ve received responses to our RFC on IPv6 from:

*         AT&T

* Lee Howard (as an individual)

*         Microsoft

* The National Association of State Chief Information Officers

*         The Rural Broadband Association

*         Wells Fargo

We note that the due date has been extended until the 17th, so we do anticipate a few more responses. Responses are posted publicly here:
