I just sent a note to someone at Akamai who may have been involved in these measurements - will see what he replies and relay.

While seeing if there were papers published on the findings I cam across these two recent blogs (June 2016 and October 2016) by Akamai which give some interesting details on mobile environment statistics:

https://blogs.akamai.com/2016/06/preparing-for-ipv6-only-mobile-networks-why-and-how.html <https://blogs.akamai.com/2016/06/preparing-for-ipv6-only-mobile-networks-why-and-how.html>

https://blogs.akamai.com/2016/10/ipv6-at-akamai-edge-2016.html <https://blogs.akamai.com/2016/10/ipv6-at-akamai-edge-2016.html>

Perhaps useful for the paper to portray some added infomration on incentives and where there is misunderstanding on what exactly is deployed today?
