Dear all,

We are exited about this project and very pleased to see the growing
enthusiasm surrounding the remote hubs. You can count on our full support
to make a success of it..

In order to help make these remote hubs a reality we propose promoting it
on the IGF site, displaying information about these hubs and encouraging
other hubs to form and register with us.

At this stage we would like to know how many of them are expected to be set
up. Could you write back to us and give us the following information so
that we can advertise the hubs on our We site:

Contact name:
Contact email:
Institution were the hub will be based:
Possible area(s) of interest within the 5 main themes:
Number of expected participants within the hub:
Do you have any pre-meeting activities planned, if so what and where:

In addition, we will upload a remote participation sign-up form for remote
participants so that we have a record of how many people participate
remotely. We hope that this will add value to the remote participation.
(All participants at the remote hubs are encouraged to register.)

Last but not least we encourage those of you who have not yet done so to
subscribe to our listserve, to facilitate including newcomers into the
discussion.

Best regards
Markus

> Dear hub organizers (and other interested parties),
> First of all, thank you for your interest in participating on this
> project. I am sure it will be a useful initiative to our local
communities.
> As you may have seen, a statement about the project (mentioning the
> participation of your organizations) was read on the last Open
> Consultations by our friend Olga Cavalli from Argentina. You can
> check it on Youtube, on the following link: http://www.youtube.

> The hubs initiative was also discussed on the MAG meeting and it has
> received formal support from it and from the IGF secretariat.
> Recently, the IGF Hyderabad organizers have had several meetings
> with the technical team responsible for the webcast and the
> participation platform. They have agreed upon a technical
> arrangement to be offered to the hubs.
> A mailing list was recently created, to facilitate our discussion
> and to make possible that people who join us in the future can look
> through the archives. The e-mail is rpg_hyd at intgovforum.org and you
> can sign up for it at the following URL: http://intgovforum.
> org/mailman/listinfo/rpg_hyd_intgovforum.org. This list should serve
> as a forum to debate issues collectively, to help one another and to
> exchange information and best practices.
> As soon as you have joined it, more technical information will be
provided.
> Please, don´t hesitate to write me in case of doubt.
> I thank you once more for your engagement.
> Best wishes
