Greetings Jeremy and Bertrand,
I am currently working on a project on behalf of a set
of "forgotten stakeholders" -- the community of domain
name registrants.
Last week I put forward a proposal to the ICANN
Chairman of the Board to establish a new Advisory
Committee with a narrow focus on registrant issues.
The proposal:

Peter's response:

My reply:

I am currently recruiting a team to properly develop
the concept and have brought on board nine project
participants thus far in the last few days (I expect
to have a team of about two dozen by the end of next
week -- I'll be recruiting additional members at the
NTIA's JPA Mid-term Review).
I anticipate that 2 dozen will be a workable number as
the earlier At-Large Organizing Committee (ALOC) had
27 members in their initiative that ultimately led to
the formation of the ALAC.
I'll get a website and blog set up within the next two
weeks but I still need to make arrangements for a
listserv, conference calls and/or the use of tools
such as Marratech or Eluminate.
I could really use a few specialists on board with
either experience in an Advisory Committee setting or
with structure-building or project management
experience.
I will be happy to forward further details upon
request.
best wishes,
Danny Younger
