-- Sorry for duplicates --

Dear MAG members,

On Wednesday, December 18, as a side-event to the IGF in Riyadh, there
will be a presentation and discussion of the São Paulo Multistakeholder
Guidelines (SPMG), which are an important outcome of the NETmundial+10
meeting in April 2024.

The event “NETmundial+10: Global Challenges for the Governance of the
Digital World”  was hosted by the Brazilian Internet Steering Committee
– CGI.br and organized by a High-level Executive Committee (HLEC), with
representatives from diverse regions and stakeholder groups.
NETmundial+10 drew upon the groundbreaking NETmundial meeting of 2014
and delivered a set of guidelines and recommendations to enable the
operationalization of the 2014 Internet governance process principles
and to further multistakeholder collaboration and decision-making in all
relevant decisional arenas. Based on a dedicated online consultation and
on the inputs received during the event, an outcome document was
prepared, putting together guidelines and process steps for
multistakeholder collaboration and decision-making, identified as the
São Paulo Multistakeholder Guidelines (SPMG). They have been
disseminated so far, reaching diverse stakeholder and arenas, including
the IGF and its Multistakeholder Advisory Group.

Please join Renata Mielli, the Chair of the event, and other members of
the HLEC, who will briefly discuss the SPMG and how to leverage them to
guide the evolution of the multistakeholder approach within the global
ecosystem.

When: Wednesday, December 18, 10:30 am - 12:00 pm, local time in Riyadh
(UTC+3)
Where: Bilateral Room 12, venue of the IGF in Riyadh
