Dear All,

Following the Secretariat’s screening, there are 245 proposals set for MAG members’ evaluation, beginning today. You will have approximately two weeks to complete your evaluations, until Wednesday 29 June 2022, 23:59 UTC, so as to allow the Secretariat enough time to compile the evaluation data before the 2nd Open Consultations and MAG Meeting (6-8 July). We will aim to share this data with you by 4 July, so you have a couple of days of review before discussions at the meeting. Because of this tight timeline, no extensions can be given on the deadline for evaluation.

Here are the essential information and resources as you begin this important process:

  * The MAG has been divided into 5 randomized evaluating groups 8 people, following the themes as much as possible, while equitably distributing the proposals (approximately 50-60 per group). To the extent possible, some thought has also been given to making the groups diverse in terms of gender, stakeholder group and region.

These are the group assignments: https://intgovforum.org/en/mag-members

  * Separate mailing lists for each evaluating group have been created and you have been automatically subscribed. This will allow you to discuss amongst yourselves any issues that arise as you review and grade.

These are the mailing list addresses, which you should use according to your assignment:
2022connecthr1-wg at intgovforum.org<mailto:2022connecthr1-wg at intgovforum.org>
2022connecthr2-wg at intgovforum.org<mailto:2022connecthr2-wg at intgovforum.org>
2022ai-wg at intgovforum.org<mailto:2022ai-wg at intgovforum.org>
2022security-wg at intgovforum.org<mailto:2022security-wg at intgovforum.org>
2022dataprivacyif-wg at intgovforum.org<mailto:2022dataprivacyif-wg at intgovforum.org>

  * You will only see the proposals you are meant to grade based on your group assignment. The grading scale against each of the 5 criteria is from 1 to 5 (“Absent” to “Excellent”), with each criterion weighted differently. Please read carefully the guidance on the criteria and grading at the top of your evaluation forms.

The evaluation link will be made available asap after today’s MAG meeting.

  * For ease of grading and bearing in mind that many of you travel or may at times prefer to be offline, a hardcopy pdf files of the proposals be provided as soon as possible within the next days. An Excel sheet for marking your grades offline can also be provided on request. These will be organized according to the group assignments. Please follow your group assignment and note that any offline grades will have to be transferred to the online system within the deadline.

  * Please respect the deadline, 29 June, 23:59 UTC, for completing your evaluations.

  * It is the responsibility of every MAG member to complete evaluations. The Secretariat keeps an internal record of who has done so and may impact a MAG members renewal.

Please feel free to bring your questions to the MAG meeting later today. We can address them fully in a Q&A.

Best regards,

Chengetai
