Subject: Re: [IGFmaglist] Data on IGF22 Workshop Proposals

Dear Paul and MAG colleagues,

To follow up on my comments on yesterday’s call, I realised after Eleonora’s presentation that my workshop proposal was the single proposal excluded for having come from a sitting MAG member. This was an error on my part in not reading the rules fully (I’d assumed I’d simply be able to recuse from any consideration of the proposal).

I was not the only person involved in developing this proposal, and given the important issues it deal with, I’m hoping that there is a possibility of changing the name of the submitter to one of my co-organisers (Pablo Hinojosa from APNIC has graciously agreed to step into that role).

I’d like to formally request this consideration, with thanks (and some embarrassment!).

I would obviously not participate in any assessment of this proposal, regardless of the change in roles, and would declare a conflict of interest, as facilitated by the tooling that Luis walked us through yesterday.

Thanks,

Chris
