Thank you for your kind words and warm welcome to the MAG.


To my fellow MAG members, I look forward to working you all to strengthen and improve the IGF and would do everything in my capacity to do so. While I unfortunately cannot attend the upcoming MAG meeting physically due to the schedule clash with my undergraduate studies, I would be participating remotely and hope to connect with you all if I haven't already.


And I'm also thankful to the UN Secretary-General for appointing me in the MAG, it is a great honour to be the youth voice of the 2018 team.

Greetings from Nairobi, Kenya!

I am very very proud of your appointment to the 2018 MAG as the youngest member of the 2018 team (at only 22). :)

I am humbled that the UN Secretary-General has once again listened to our youth campaigns for youth representation on the MAG since the 23 November 2010 IGF MAG Meeting (http://igf.wgig.org/cms/mag/102-igf-2010/transcripts2010 ) where it was stated, “...I think that we should have an opportunity to provide it -- to provide opportunities for youth representation from African countries, Asian, former USSR, other countries, to make it the IGF's better mandate...”

In November 2014; together with other YCIG members- Bianca Ho (Hong Kong) and Aida Mahmutovic (Bosnia); I was appointed at the same age (22 years) and during our 3 year tenure, we  kept the youth flame burning (we have since vacated our roles in March 2018) and we are glad to pass on the baton to you and shall remain committed to supporting you in your journey. Feel free to reach out to us for support and advice whenever you need to brainstorm.
