Dear all,

My name is Natasa Glavor and I work for Croatian Academic and Research Network – CARNET, representing Government stakeholder. I am involved in Croatian IGF initiative since its begining in 2015 and was coordinator of the CRO-IGF 2017. My background is Mathematics and Computer Science. I used to work in the field of cyber security for many years in CARNET, coordinating Croatian Computer Emergency Response Team. I broaden my experience leading CARNET team for application development and team for managing Croatian Top Level Domain .HR. I am currently in the field of data analytics in CARNET. This is my second term as a MAG member and I am very proud of that. What I find very important is that being involved in Global IGF initiatives and sharing experiences and ideas internationally gives our CRO-IGF initiative additional stimuli and rises the importance and visibility of Internet Governance themes in our society and local communities taking into account multistakeholderism and equal footing as prerequest when puting any of those themes on the table.

I would like to welcome all newly appointed MAG members! Looking forward to our collaboration!

Honored to be incoming member of MAG this year, representing Civil Society.
I am a Chilean lawyer and hold a Master's Degree with specialization in Law and Technology from the University of California, Berkeley. Since 2017, I'm Executive Director of Derechos Digitales (DD), a 13 years old independent non-profit organization based in Chile, working across Latin America on human rights in the digital environment, particularly freedom of expression, privacy, and access to knowledge and information. I was part of the group who founded the organization in 2005. On behalf of DD, I have been part for the last two years of the programing committee of LAC IGF preparatory meeting. Previously, my work in private practice and academia covered telecommunications regulation, competition, data protection and intellectual property.
Looking forward to collaborate with you across the year.

My name is Ananda Raj Khanal.

Currently, I am working as a senior Director at Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA) , an independent and autonomous  telecom regulator of Nepal. Before joining NTA in April 2006, I was with the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Kathmandu University in Nepal.
I hold a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Communications, Master of Engineering degree in Optical Communication. I am a gold medalist in Bachelors of Law ( LLB).

I have taken a number of training courses related to policy, legal, regulation and management of Telecommunications/ICTs sector conducted by different international institutes of repute including ITU , ACMA, PURC, APT, TEMIC, USTTI and other regulatory agencies.

I am  an elected Vice Chairman of ITU-D Study Group 2 for the period 2014-2017 and re-elected through the World Telecommunications Development Conference ( WTDC-17) for 2018-2021.
I have chaired a number of national committees that deals with telecommunications and ICTs including cyber security, accessible Internet for persons with disabilities etc.
I am  a founding member of Internet Society, Nepal Chapter and have been very active in its activities. I am a government stakeholder member of Nepal Internet Governance Forum and is very active in issues related to Internet Governance. I have significantly contributed in the promotion of internet issues related to gender equality, disability and bridging the digital divide issue.

By the way I am very interested in music and I am a lyricist myself. 5 songs are already recorded and 2 in the final stage of recording..

the IGF secretariat and I look forward to our first MAG Virtual Meeting tomorrow.   Normally, our first meeting is a face-to-face meeting and we take advantage of that to do some brief introductions.  However, given our first face-to-face meeting is some time off and given the shorter duration of our Virtual meetings, I would like to propose that over the coming weeks we each take a few minutes and do a virtual introduction.

In addition to the usual info (stakeholder group, region, etc.), it is always interesting to know how everyone became involved in Internet Governance and/or the IGF.

I will send my own introduction over the coming days.
