Please find attached a note we shared inside our ICC community about Joe. I share it with you to contribute to the call to honour Joe that Renata kindly initiated. Joe was not just a great ambassador for business, he was a pragmatic and invested member of the multistakeholder community and a highly vocal champion for the stable, secure and open Internet. 

Thank you again Renata for the thoughtfulness of your message. There are indeed many feeling this loss. Joe was a mentor, champion and friend - in fact you can either credit or blame him for me wading back into Internet governance in 2014. If you knew him, you know why I did. I am immensely grateful for all I have learned from this impressively intelligent and kind-hearted man.

Sad news Renata. Thank you for sharing. My memories of meeting Joseph go back to the time I was involved in WTO negotiations. He was a wise, friendly, man with extensive knowledge. 
I was glad to meet him again as one of the panelists of the IGF 2016 Main Session on Trade Policy and the Internet which you and Omar had organized. May he rest in peace.

I've seen on a mutual friend social media post news about the passing of Joseph Alhadeff.

On behalf of IGF participants who knew him and everyone who helped us organize the main session on trade last year, which he was a speaker in, we'd like to offer my deepest condolences to all his colleagues, friends and family.

His kindness in sharing his wisdom and energy with IGF participants will mean greatly for years after IGF2016.

Our heart goes out to Elizabeth Thomas-Raynaud, who introduced us.

As IGF is a community, I trust you will all allow us to take this moment of this busy list to honor this great collaborator.
