[IGFmaglist] Devastation by Hurricane Mathew

Dear Sala, Marilyn and MAG colleagues:

Thank you for your solidarity with the persons affected by hurricane Mathew.

It was a terrible hurricane category 4+ when it hit the eastern tip of Cuba.

It caused extensive damage in housing and other infrastructure,
including power and telecommunications lines, antennas, etc.

Fortunately no one was killed or injured in Cuba because thorough
preparations were done in anticipation.

Unfortunately on other parts of the Caribbean there has been a number
of injured and fatal victims.

I want to join in your solidarity and condolences to their families and friends.
