Subject:  Refined "NIC" Version 2.0 on main session on "ACCESS" and "14G&D" inviting names / comments / public policy questions - ready for discussion at Paris meeting

Dear Members of MAG,
Following some additional, excellent contributions by MAG members, especially from Christine and Olga, attached herewith please find Version 2.0 of the refined "Note Inviting Comments" for the main session on "Access" and "Internet for Growth and Development (I4G&D)"
Next steps

1.      The note is ready for discussion at the Paris meeting - time permitting. We are still looking for names of very senior government representatives - ministerial / secretary level from Africa, with a pending request for a speaker from China.  Additionally senior, ministerial level participation from Pacific islands would also be very welcome.

2.      Names of civil society representatives who have sufficient experience and expertise to speak on issues of public access, disadvantaged groups, rural access and development related initiatives, across Africa, Latin America, etc. would be most helpful.

3.      After the Paris meeting, we should also be able to include any nuances that may have come up in the CSTD discussions in Geneva last week, where I am informed Access was of significant focus.  Discussions in Paris would be reflected as version 3.0 of the document.
Again, many thanks for all valuable contributions.  Look forward to the Paris discussions, especially to help nail down speaker slots and tighten / finalize 5-7 key public policy questions. Also expect to get insight into the room configurations as we are attempting to hold this particular main session as a round table rather than in the traditional panel format, based on the discussions at the 2nd MAG meeting in Geneva and additional inputs received on the "Note Inviting Comments"  (from members and volunteers).
