Thanks Paul. Agree. Please suggest names. Will be most helpful.
This is a laundary list at best with initial thoughts collating inputs
recived till now.
Agree with all your inputs. We must have diversity and new faces with
gender balance as well.
The A list is the organisational speaker suggestion which are linked to the
events in the IG calender. B list is the speaker segmentation by
stakeholder groups. Thought we should have Events/processes as Janis has
suggested represented through their parent orgs and then have some
provocative well rounded interventions which speak to essential questions.
Constance has also sent in excellent inputs on the questions. Will
incorporate those too.
And agree we shouldn't have too many people up there but should do enough
to outline the issues to build the knowledge agenda keeping the session
interactive at the same time.
It would be of immense help if you come back with some names who you think
would add value to make this session most effective.
Thank you again. Deeply appreciated.
Warmest
Subi

space in Turkey to discuss the future of IG, especially following up from
Netmundial. I hope in fact that the "future of IG" will be seen as part of
IGF's ongoing scope. If we can handle it, in a way which is both trusted
and productive of useful developments, then the IGF can continue to stand
alone, without the need for additional events like Netmundial.

although these are all great speakers and I hope all will contribute to IGF
2014, I think we need more attention to balance and "new faces". I'm not
quite sure of the function of the "A" list of speakers - but it has a
majority from I* organisations, which I think is not appropriate for a
session which is about Internet governance broadly. I'd suggest we need
one or 2 from the tech community (e.g. ICANN and/or ISOC, but this
community can select), and then a wider range of interesting folks more
from other sectors - e.g. content industry, consumer advocates,
media/journalism, NGOs. Even without casting the net too widely I think
there are plenty of candidates from previous IGFs who could add the
interest that this session needs.

will be structured, but I personally see the need for more variety and new
faces to make the session really engaging.

session- Open and inclusive of all stakeholders and broader IG processes.
This will be reflected in the choice of speakers/lead resource persons, as
well for the session.

work here.)
