Hi,

As an outgoing MAG member, I'd also like to thank the Secretariat and other MAG members for their tireless work and inspiration, and would like to extend a warm welcome to the new MAG.

On the personal front, this upcoming period will be quite exciting, as my husband and I are preparing for the arrival of our baby daughter. I will be on maternity leave for a few months, which will prompt me to miss the IGF this year. I look forward to getting back in full force next year.

As an outgoing Member, I am thankful to the IGF community, it has been and continues to be a wonderful experience. In particular, I would like to thank Markus, Chengetai and others in the secretariat for your dedication and hard work. Also, a warm welcome to new MAG members.

As to myself, I will change my stakeholder group from government representative to a UN organization in the beginning of February as I start my work within the CSTD secretariat in UNCTAD. Please join me in welcoming the new members to the MAG and thanking the outgoing MAG members for their contributions.

The Secretariat plans to have a new MAG members orientation session on 19 February during the lunch period. I ask for MAG volunteers to help with this session.

There was a previous suggestion of a virtual pre meeting to prepare for the Open Consultations and MAG meeting.  I have set up a doodle poll for the date and time for this first virtual MAG meeting of the year at http://doodle.com/impvyxwa9rvncffe

I would be grateful if you could all indicate your preferences before this weekend.
