Dear Chengetai and all,

 

Please allow me to join others in congratulating and welcoming new MAG
members and thanking the outgoing members. Many thanks Chengetai and the
Secretariat for the great work and timely release of the renewal. 

 

Having had an experience as a new comer, I would very much like to help this
year’s new comers to get used to our work, especially to my Chinese
colleague Xiaodong Lee^_^  As I mentioned in a MAG meeting, one of the
important things to join the MAG work is to know all the members. To make it
easier, may I suggest, again, to attach photos of MAG members in their CVs? 

 

I am looking forward to learning more from all of you and working with you
for another successful IGF.

Please join me in welcoming the new members to the MAG and thanking the
outgoing MAG members for their contributions. 

 

The Secretariat plans to have a new MAG members orientation session on 19
February during the lunch period. I ask for MAG volunteers to help with this
session.

 

There was a previous suggestion of a virtual pre meeting to prepare for the
Open Consultations and MAG meeting.  I have set up a doodle poll for the
date and time for this first virtual MAG meeting of the year at
http://doodle.com/impvyxwa9rvncffe

 

I would be grateful if you could all indicate your preferences before this
weekend.
