Dear all,

I’m ready to work together on the organization of this Plenary as well (as previously stated), and I think the points raised by Yuliya and Peter are very good ones. We could now start to refine them and the session itself that has ultimately a very broaden scope.

All the best,

Ana

Dear All,

Yulia’s suggestion is a good one. Involved in the Dynamic Coalition on Accessibility and Disability as well as in ICANN’s new group on Accessibility for Persons with Disabilities I am ready to contribute.

What is the deadline for the evaluation of the workshop proposals?

Best,

Peter

Dear all,

I'm happy to work together on the preparation of this Plenary session.

1. I would like to include the following as the discussion points for the Plenary, based also on a number of recommendations made in the reports from the workshops last year :

- Social responsibility of actors;

- Disadvantaged/vulnerable groups in the Information Society;

-Human rights and disadvantaged/vulnerable groups in the Information Society

2. I would also recommend to have as a speaker the President of the European Economic and Social Committee, EU body, Mr Henri Malosse, see here:http://www.eesc.europa.eu/?i=portal.en.home

3. Finally, I would recommend as a title the following: Internet policies enabling access as an engine for growth and development.

Look froward to continuing our engagement,

Yuliya

A morning slot requested for a morning slot which would enable maximum participation from politicians and bureaucrats, whose contributions, amongst other important stakeholders, would be key to this session.

A Note for brief inviting comments attached (NIC)

A note for brief relating to the main session is being circulated here for your comments, advice and inputs. This is a first basic attempt to get options for titles, formats, moderators, speakers and most importantly, off the ground for discussion and inputs from all. Based on the inputs a conference call can be proposed amongst contributors and volunteers and all others who wish to join.

The NIC is attached. You are requested for initial comments by Thursday, April 24, 2014. The note provides some early outline ideas and invites comments on the issues of:

1. Background brief on the sub-themes

2. Suggested titles for main session

3.      Suggested formats

4. Suggested Moderators / Remote Moderators

5. Suggestions for potential speakers / organizations

6.      Suggested Policy questions

7. Suggested for Timelines for execution

8.      Request for volunteers

Time permitting we could discuss this session on the 3rd virtual meeting of the MAG scheduled for Wednesday, April 16, 2014.

Look forward to your first set of comments and ideas by April 24, 2014. We also need some of the volunteers to hold the pen on the document as it develops.

Thanking you for your cooperation.

Regards
Virat Bhatia
