[IGFmaglist] HCA Status

Dear All,
As stated in our previous virtual meeting, August 20th, 2013 was the deadline for signing the HCA between Indonesia and the UN. We are still negotiating several points that have not been agreed yet by MoFA. I hope it will be agreed soon after having intensive meeting. We are going to have a meeting today (Thursday) and arrange a teleconference meeting between MoFA and our team with UN on Friday (August 23rd, 2013).  Thank you.

Dear all,

In the light of last week's discussions we have looked into ways of how best to rearrange the main schedule of the 2013 meeting. You will recall that there was a general desire to move the open mic session to the last day, to allow participants to take stock of the event. 

One of the reasons why this session was originally scheduled as  a kickoff session was that there was no need for any workshop to feed into it. By moving the open mic session to the last day, we will need to bring focus sessions forward. In other words, there will be no way to have workshops taking place ahead of the focus session.

By looking at the workshop proposals on related teams, it seemed that the sessions dealing with Internet governance and multistakeholder principles would be least harmed by such a move.

Please find attached an alternative schedule for our discussion later today. Let's have as our objective to take a final decision today, so that we can freeze the main schedule. Maybe those who cannot make the call will have the opportunity to send their comments in writing.
